MEET Grant

So, there’s this guy, Grant Peelle, right? He’s out there making movies, which is pretty cool because I can barely make a sandwich without causing a kitchen disaster. Grant’s got this knack for telling stories that make you go, “Wow, I feel that,” even if you’re just sitting on your couch in sweatpants. He’s got this documentary, “The Highest of Stakes,” about some guy named Richard Heart and his Hex Token. It’s like, is this the next big thing in crypto, or is this guy just really good at convincing people he’s the future of digital money? Kinda makes you wonder if you should’ve paid more attention in math class, right?

Then there’s this other project for the Four Seasons. Not the hotel, but yes, actually the hotel. It’s called “The Place You Call Home,” and it’s basically about how fancy you can live if you have the kind of money that lets you call a place that costs more per night than my car is worth “home.” It’s on YouTube, so you can watch it and dream a bit. Grant filmed it during COVID, which means he probably had to direct people like, “Hey, could you move a bit to the left, but, like, from six feet away?”

Grant’s been working with the Four Seasons for a while, making all these films that show off how nice it is to stay there. I guess if you’re into that sort of thing, like having more than two towels or room service that doesn’t just mean your spouse bringing you a sandwich, it’s pretty cool.

And if you’re sitting there thinking, “I could go for some of that luxury,” they’ve got these experiences called “Take Your Time: Daily Discoveries.” It’s for folks who think luxury means finding new ways to enjoy the lobby for more than five minutes without getting bored.

They even turned a superyacht into a party for the #FourSeasonsPopDown Miami event. It’s like they thought, “What’s fancier than a yacht? Oh, I know, a yacht with a party on it.” And there’s this spoken word artist, Marshall Davis Jones, who talks about his time at a Four Seasons in Hawaii, making it sound like the kind of place where even the towels feel inspired.

Grant’s whole journey from just messing around with a camera to being this big-deal filmmaker is on the Stillmotion blog. It’s one of those stories where you go, “Huh, maybe I should do something more with my weekends than just trying to beat my high score in video games.”
